Paul Ansah celebrates birthday with Tortibo D/A Basic School to honor best pupil in Asuogyaman
The former Director General of Ghana Ports and Harbor Authority (GPHA), Mr. Paul Asare Ansah yesterday stormed the Tortibo District Assembly Basic School to celebrate his birthday in honor of Ruth Siantey who scored the best aggregate Seven (07) in the 2018 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results released by the West Africa Examination Council (WACE) in the Asuogyaman District.

"On the occasion of the day I was born, I decided to spend the day with Tortibo District Assembly Basic School in honor of Ruth Siantey who scored the best aggregate Seven 07 in the 2018 BECE results and also to honor the teachers who struggled hard through these conditions that we are all withnessing here to teach this girl, to encourage them and pupils of the school" Mr. Paul Ansah said.

He continued adding that "you have proven that no matter where you find yourself in life you can make it with hard work, determination and perseverance".

Paul Asare Ansah recalled when he was approached by the District Education Directorate headed by Mad. Mavis Yirenkye through the Asuogyaman District Assembly to sponsor the district mock exams, I went extra further to organize extra classes, pay the teachers to teach the candidates for three extra weeks through the holidays to encourage enable them prepare Better for the BECE. "We provided them with the necessary logistics they need to write the exams with, mathematical set, pens, pencils rulers among other".

The former GPHA Boss who has fulfilled his promise to the then candidates to provide full complement of the prospectus of students entering into the senior high school with grade six 06 to ten 10, ranging from briefcase to broom pointed out that his office has fully sponsored 15 candidates with full complements on their prospectus into the senior high school and also awarding these students with a total amount of GHC4,500.00.

On his part, the District Chief Executive for the area, Samuel Kwame Agyekum congratulated the school of their success and called on the schools in the district to learn from the Tortibo D/A School.

He took the opportunity to express his gratitude to Mr. Paul Ansah saying "Education in Asuogyaman will improve if we have five of your kind in this our district"

The District Education Director Mad. Mavis Yirenkye cease the opportunity to show appreciations to the former Director General by recounting the numerous support received from him by the Education Directorate including organizing inter senior high schools quiz competitions among the senior high schools in the district which started last year and was won by Boso Senior High Technical School.

In showing appreciation to the school the teachers received one half piece of cloth.
