Second Lady donate health equipment to Nkwanta North and South

The second lady Mrs. Samila Bawumia through the Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Projects (SEHP), has presented medical and surgical equipment and supplies to some nine health facilities in the Nkwanta North District and Nkwanta South Municipality in the Oti Region.

The equipment included X-ray view boards, oxygen concentrators, carbon surgical blades, catheters, forceps, suctioning machines, ultra-sound machine, sphygmomanometer, delivery beds, stabilizers, emergency beds, nebulizers, crutches, transformers and medical intravenous poles.

The supplies also contained surgical gowns, syringes, blood collection tubes, baby powder, adapters,, bandage rolls, abdominal pads, blood administration sets, cannulas, breathing sets, elastic bandages, gloves, masks, needles, scissors.

According to her, the donation forms part of her vision to improve general healthcare, particularly promote universal health care among women and children. She also thanked MedShare (USA) and the doctors who supported the intervention.

The Oti Regional Minister, Mr. Akwasi Owusu Yeboah, expressed gratitude on behalf of the region and commended the Second Lady for choosing Oti out of the many regions to benefit from her philanthropy.
