Dormaa West DCE plants trees to mark Green Ghana Day
The District Chief Executive for Dormaa West District, Mr. Francis Kwadwo Oppong together with the District Assembly staff and the DISEC joined the District Forest Service Division, to launch this year's Green Ghana Project.

The DCE lauded the government of Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo for the initiative.
He advised the gathering to make tree planting their habit and cautioned the public against illegal cutting down of trees.
After the launch at the forecourt of the District Assembly, the DCE together with the team proceeded to the Nkrankwanta Senior High School and the Dormaa West District Hospital where they planted trees. The District has about 4000 seedlings to be planted.
The Green Ghana initiative is aimed at planting over 20 million trees across the country to preserve Ghana’s forest reserves.
