This attests to the seriousness the assembly has attached to governments quest to make agriculture a major economic driver for the development of the country.

Since the creation of the district in 2004, the district has struggled to provide accommodation to its staff and the Agric Director is no exception. He has to commute from Obuasi each day to work at Fomena.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr Eric Kwaku Kusi hit the ground to commence the construction of the bungalow. The project is being funded by the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF).

The Director of Agric, Mr Stephen Awuku was elated and thanked the Assembly at the turn of event saying “at long last traveling from Obuasi to Fomena each day will soon be a thing of the past”.

Among the personalities present were Mr Owusu Asamoah Victor, District Planning Officer, Mr Dauglas Kwesi Koomson, Works Engineer, Hon Kwaku Obeng Assemblyman for Ampedwee electoral Area Dompoase and also works subcommittee chairman for Adansi North District Assembly.
