‘Zagia – Deyiri’ CHPs Compound in the offing

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Jirapa in the upper West Region, Madam Christiana Amadu has handed over a site to aid the construction of Community-base Health Planning (CHPS) Compound at Zagua-deyiri, a suburb of Jirapa.

The new project will include Delivery room, Dispensary, Out Patient Department (OPD) 2 unit urinal and 1 No 4 unit Toilet facilities among others.

The MCE indicated in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the facility which was financed through the District Development fund (DDf) will be replicated in other parts of the municipality to help the healthcare delivery in the Jirapa municipality.

She said the facility when duly completed will help fight maternal death by encouraging pregnant women to go for antenatal care.

He revealed that the project is expected to be completed in 4 month time to ensure its intended purpose.

The MCE ceased the opportunity to thank the Chief for the land and all stakeholders who have made it possible for commencement of the project and assure them that the Assembly will do everything possible to ensure of quality healthcare delivery in the area.
