People of Brong Ahafo urge Asomah-Cheremeh to excel in new role
The people of the Brong Ahafo Region have urged Mr Kwaku Asomah- Cheremeh, the former Brong Ahafo Regional Minister to work hard to excel in his new portfolio.

Mr Kwaku Asomah- Cheremeh, was elevated to the position of the Land and Natural Resources Minister in the recent ministerial reshuffle by the president.

The people made the call at a send-off ceremony held to bid farewell to the out-going Regional Minister.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Cheremeh, thanked the President of the Republic of Ghana for elevating him, and again expressed his profound gratitude to the chief's, queen mothers, heads of Institutions, Government agencies, MDCs and all sundry for making his position as the regional minister fulfilling.



He assured them of heeding to all advices given to him by his opinion leaders and will continue to seek their counsel from time to time. He seeks the blessings of the Traditional leaders for his successor to enable him excel in all his endeavor in the region.

Mr Cheremeh also urged all to be disciplined and cooperative so as to foster unity and drive the development agenda of the region.

The Chairman for the occasion, Pimampim Yaw Kagbrese V, the Omanhene of Yeji and the President of Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs thanked the President for the confident reposed in Mr Asomah Cheremeh, and called for unity among the people at all times.



Mr Evans Opoku Bobie, the Regional Minister designate in his speech said he got to know is boss 10 years ago during while practicing law, through politics and when he was appointed as is deputy. He described him as someone who is firm in decision making and hardworking, and this resulted in the progress the region has chalked.

According to him, his boss fought illegal lumbering with all seriousness which attracted so many acrimonies but he stood his ground.



“The evidence of his good deeds are available at the Forestry Commission of how he curb it hence his elevation to take over Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources by the President”.

He asked for prayers to back him to succeed and also promised to take over from where his boss ended and also go the extra mile. He promised never to let him down as a successor.



The Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive, Mrs Evelyn Richardson read a release on behalf of all the MMDCs in the region commending the president Nana Akufo-Addo for elevating two of their illustrious sons in his recent reshuffle.
