ASUTIFI S: Assembly receives 100- acre land for PFJ initiative
The Asutifi South District Assembly in the Brong Ahafo Region, has received 100- acre land from Chiefs and Elders in the area to facilitate smooth implementation of the government’s “Planting for Food and Job" (PFJ) flagship agric initiative.

This was disclosed by the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Mr Dwommoh Mensah Robert in an exclusive interview with Ghanadistricts.com.

He said the assembly is targeting over 1,000 acres of land for the programme in the next three years.


According to him, crops such as Ginger, Cocoa and Coconut have been identified to be cultivated in large quantities in Bosukese, Hwidiem and Akyeresua communities. He noted that Bosukese is set for irrigation farming due to its fertility.

The DCE noted that the Assembly has earmarked Nkaseim, a community in the district for the construction of a Ginger factory under the One District-One Factory initiative by the government.


He expressed his profound gratitude to the Chiefs for their continuous support and assured that the programme, if properly implemented, will generate more revenue, create Jobs, and flood the district with investors.
